about Susana ‘Susy’ Reid

Susana "Susy" Reid, is passionate about creating exceptional experiences for both guests and team members in the hospitality industry. Over the past five years, she has had the opportunity to grow her career through four promotions, beginning in Food & Beverage, advancing into Front Office leadership, and currently serving as Director of Housekeeping at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. This journey allowed her to develop a deeper understanding of resort operations and the importance of teamwork in delivering outstanding service.

Today, she leads a team of approximately 100 associates responsible for maintaining a 400-acre luxury resort property that includes more than 630 guest rooms and villas, conference facilities, golf courses, tennis facilities, pools, and extensive outdoor spaces. She takes great pride in supporting her team, maintaining high standards, and creating an environment where people feel valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.

In addition to her operational responsibilities, Susy serves as a Power of Engagement Facilitator, where she has the privilege of helping develop leaders and foster a culture of engagement, collaboration, and personal growth. Developing others is one of the most rewarding aspects of her career, and she firmly believes that strong teams are built through trust, accountability, and genuine care for people.

Outside of work, Susy is a proud mother. This year marks a special milestone for her family as her son graduates from high school and prepares to begin his college journey. Balancing a leadership career with family life has taught her the importance of resilience, adaptability, and gratitude.
