about Shannon M. Silva
Shannon Silva is the Vice President of Sales for Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global, where she leads the strategic sales vision and private dining and events business across the company's U.S. restaurant portfolio. With more than 25 years of experience in hospitality, tourism, and event sales, she has built a career centered on creating exceptional experiences, cultivating lasting partnerships, and inspiring high-performing teams.
A proud graduate of San Diego State University, Shannon's hospitality journey began in the very city where she is now being recognized. She often jokes that her first site inspections weren't for corporate clients—they were campus tours as an SDSU Student Ambassador. Those early experiences sparked a passion for creating memorable experiences and connecting with people.
After graduation, she began her career as a Sales Coordinator at The Meeting Manager, a San Diego destination management company, where early mentorship ignited her passion for hospitality and introduced her to the limitless opportunities within the industry.
Over the next two decades, Shannon built her career in San Diego, rising from Sales Coordinator to Vice President while gaining experience across destination management, event production, entertainment, restaurants, and experiential hospitality.
She spent her early career in the DMC world and with Pacific Event Productions, was part of the opening team for the legendary House of Blues San Diego, and later held leadership roles with Hakkasan Group, Punch Bowl Social, Puttshack, and now Gordon Ramsay Restaurants.
While her career has since taken her across the country—and around the world—and she now lives in Denver, San Diego will always be home in so many ways. It is where she found extraordinary mentors, forged lifelong friendships, built the foundation for a career that has exceeded anything she could have imagined, and discovered the industry she loves. Being recognized as a Women in Tourism & Hospitality Honoree in the city where her journey began is not only a full-circle moment—it's a tribute to the community that inspired it.
