about emily moore

Emily M. Moore has worked in the tourism industry for 23 years serving corporate events, destination management, and parks and recreation fields in Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego counties.

Over the last six years, Moore has been the Executive Director of the Cabrillo National Monument Foundation and a well-known leader in the national park partnerships community. She is passionate about ensuring all people feel welcome at Cabrillo National Monument, the only National Park in San Diego and a top tourism destination for about 1M visitors annually. Cabrillo National Monument Foundation (CNMF) funds park programs that enhance the visitor experience, educates visitors about the park’s natural, historical, and cultural resources, and operates the gift store and concessions. Moore is most excited about the new Ocean Side Trail, funded by CNMF, opening in Spring 2024 that will provide visitors and San Diegans a new recreational activity.

Previously, Moore was the events manager at the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation. She holds a Master of Science in Recreation Administration from Cal State Long Beach and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Redlands. She enjoys life adventures with friends and family, especially her husband, Dylan, daughter, Penny, and dog, Snoopy Snoop.
